Today has been a long day...had school, aerobics club and then a parent tutor meeting until 6pm so got home very tired and very low on endorphines! So have lifted my spirits by eating some naughty food - specifically cola bottles, but look --> Haribo, and it's HALAL!! wooo good times :)

I was worried I wouldn't have anything to upload today however on my way home I passed the Rotherham base for Corus, which today announced that it was cutting it's workforce...bad times for my town! Today I was part of the PE team that rocked up to Birmingham's NIA arena for the national indoor hockey champs...it was an ace day, Bowden Hightown winning, getting our faces on sky sports 2, having my face painted and bumping into Alice and Catherine who were sat in the rows behind my school kids!! Small world hey?!...

This is a picture of a year 7 pupil's homework...all my 7yz class were set the task of returning to their next lesson with examples of sports people who would use circuit training to improve their fitness. This usually involves pupils verbally telling me the answer but this student gave me a sheet with 68, yes 68 different sports!!! Kaber tossing even made her list...bless her!! she earned her 5 homework achievement points.

Today I have uploaded two images as I couldn't decide between the two...the first is of the back of a van as I drove to school, it's a pukka pies van and the genius part is that the company tag line is 'pies for you' but the number plate said 'pie for'...genius!!

Today has been bloody freezing!!! I have been teaching in rainy and frosty conditions...I actually couldn't feel my hands, just so cold! Here is me trying to stay warm but failing after Netball club.

Today I was supposed to be being social with my friend Alice, however during the night she had a SVT and was admitted to Southport Hospital...here is a picture of her cannula fitted by the paramedics! I would have taken a photo of her but she kicked off at her lack of make up or suitable clothing haha Thankfully she was allowed home at 8pm - worried everyone though!!

Today has been a chilled out day and I have been in a very good mood particularly because I have worn such a fantastic jumper...its sparkles and is disney! I would have taken a picture including my face but you know the rules about hair free and such!! annoying given my hair is purple right now!!

This week has been quite varied, what with premier league netball and a tv appearance, almost dying, swollen ankles, being a sign of good practice...and it's been a full week too - I am shattered!! So was pleased to see the school cows having a snack as I got to my car at the end of the day! Friday afternoon is always sunny and these cows are always out and about! I have named them (only in my head) Daisy and Duke, they are lovely!

Today has been a day when my coaching credentials were reinforced! The annual Rounders magazine has been printed and i was sent a copy to find that they have done a piece on my England squad that I coach and how its an example of what to expect from the England set up...whats particularly mega is that no other england squad got mentioned, so I am buzzing that all the hours are finally paying off!

My performance yesterday has influenced my picture today...I have been recovering from ankle ligament damage for a few months now, but yesterdays heavy landing from 8ft has caused a flair up! Check out my ankle lump...its spongey to the touch too!

Today I nearly died! This is the picture of my almost doom and also a second picture demonstrating just where i was...Kelly my colleague had managed to break the gym equipment - the cable had got caught, so I being resident daredevil and slightly insane climbed up to try to fix it! I then found that I wasn't quite tall enough to reach the top cable so hovered on the top foot beam with my hands first gripping the window frame and then the roof beam to balance. I then attempted to pull and tug and fix with one hand and at one point one foot floating about freely...then came the biggest danger problem - the DESCENT! I had to somehow let go of the too high arm supports whilst stepping down onto the next rung of the ladder...i can honestly say i have never feared for my death more! added to that no mats to save me! I am seriously lucky to be alive!!

This evening I have been to watch Leeds Carnegie play Brunel in the Netball Superleague at the English Institute in Sheffield. I made my brother come and I got batons!! WOO!! Also this game is 'live' on sky sports on Thursday and I was sat central to the court - I bet you can see me and my black hat!!

Today I have been in a UKCC TWG conference for Rounders and returned home to a mass of work that I need to do as I apparently coach in the desired way! So here I am at my desk working like a donkey on acid trying to stay on top of things!!

Today my first ever trip got council approval - waahey!! and 44 of the 46 tickets have already been bought...in 4 days!!!

Today has been a day where my office was COLDER than outside!! So I had coffee, did some work on my pecy pc and then drank more coffee! Oh and day two of the Netball trip and already 28 coming!! Not bad marketing if I say so myself (see yesterday's image for proof!).

Today has been all about this trip that I'm organising...not not to Jamaica, as my pupils insist - but to Nottingham! I have started to collect in cheques for this trip but made a fool of myself infront of an audience by ripping a cheque up by accident and throwing it in the bin!! That then resulted in some 'hilarious' dramatics whilst I tried to rectify having behaved like a fanny!

This is my desk at school in the PE dept. I have spent most of my day here getting back in the swing of the term...and what a start! Snow, no ICT access and the hot water tap bursting so tomorrow I will teach in an igloo! WOO!!
